6 Days : Kee-Ka, Gifts that Matter
December 19, 2005

This weekend I took a couple of days off to go over to the mainland and catch up on my holiday shopping. This trip "over town", as Catalina islanders say, put me smack in the middle of the sights and sounds of the holidays where I was once again reminded that Christmas is beloved by children.
Thankfully, the selection of stylish and sustainable gifts for kids is huge this year as many parents are concerned about the materials and environment their child is surrounded with. One of my favorite recent finds is the organic and slightly irreverent clothing company Kee-Ka. Founded by a brother and sister team, Kee-Ka produces several lines including 100% organic cotton clothes for newborns up to six years of age. With fun graphics and messages like "This End Up" or "Little Elf" each item is presented in their unique ready to send packaging. No wrapping required.
Priced from $20 - $35 the full range is available directly from Kee-Ka and a limited selection from Elsewares or Giggle.
